Transplant Families is working with researchers from the Pediatric Heart Transplant Society (PHTS) and the ACTION Learning Network to assess the benefits of telemedicine for pediatric transplant candidates and recipients. The PHTS and ACTION are organizations which serve the pediatric heart failure/heart transplantation community. Though this survey is being conducted by the heart community, responses will be used to improve and advise point of care services for children of all organ types.
We would like to receive input from the recipient parent community (including candidates) about families' opinions on telemedicine or telehealth (that is, receiving care in home using electronic devices). Transplant Families is collecting these answers to be sent to the working group, who will be using these questions as part of research studies and patient education materials. Responses will close on July 14, 2020.
