International Day of Friendship

ree

Today is the International Day of Friendship, a day to celebrate the special bonds we share with our friends. Our friends as both transplant parents and especially for our recipient kids and their siblings. These bonds are even more special for our transplant recipient children with other recipient children. It is rare to find unless there is a gathering specifically for that purpose. We celebrate the friendships made between them, whether it be competing at the Transplant Games of America or if it was making new transplant friends at camp over the summer. We know that having that bond is a way for them to know there are other superhero kids just like them. If you have any fun memories of summer activities or camp that you or your child would like to share, we would love to hear them. Each story provides hope for others just beginning their journey to a gift of life.
