Dr. Taylor Heald-Sargent obtained her MD and PhD degrees at Loyola University Chicago, completed her pediatrics residency at the University of Chicago, and her pediatric infectious diseases fellowship at Northwestern University. She has remained at Lurie Children's Hospital as an Assistant Professor in Pediatrics in the Division of Pediatric Infectious Diseases primarily focused on caring for children undergoing transplants. Dr. Heald-Sargent's research focuses on preventing infections after transplantation with a focus on viral infections. She participates in many national organizations including the Pediatric Infectious Diseases Society, the American Society of Transplantation, the Infectious Diseases Society of America, and the American Academy of Pediatrics. She looks forward to partnering with Transplant Families to improve the medical care and quality of life of children with transplants and their families. Dr. Taylor Heald-Sargent is a member of Transplant Families' planning committee for our annual Pediatric Transplant Conference each April.
