BOARD OF DIRECTORS & Committees

We are always looking for talented and passionate professionals to join our Board of Directors and Committees! Currently seeking business professionals, medical professionals, and parent partners that have a passion to spread the word on organ donation and to help recipient families in their most difficult time. 

VOLUNTEER POSITIONS **All positions virtual unless noted otherwise

  • Pediatric Transplant Advocate

    • Description: Are you a leader of a pediatric transplant nonprofit or a vocal change-maker in the community?  We want to hear from you!  Let us know the group you represent and how we can help you and add you to our alliance.

    • Time: Variable but communication happens regularly via our online leader communication platform

  • Research Reviewer 

    • Description: Must be a parent or teen/young adult patient.  Ability to read medical texts and infographics and give clear and concise feedback in order to improve the document for families that will see this for the first time, often under the stress of researching a solution for their child in this situation.

    • Time: Monthly reviews, each one takes about a week to review and make notes in your free time.

  • Office Hours

    • Time: Weekly, 1-8 hours

    • Description: Answer and reply to our general email, assist with social media (reply to our families, let them know we are here for them, like, comment, etc.), write thank you notes and notes to families, assemble care packages/prepare donations, and other various projects.

  • Computer Expertise: Update Website

    • Time: Weekly, 1-4 hours

    • Description: We use Wix, to update our website with resources, news, and other information. This position requires an accurate, quick learner. Ideally, we would like to have a regular volunteer who can return often to fill this role.

    • Skills: Basic computer, preferably someone with Wix (or similar like WordPress) experience ​

  • Coalition/Alliance Point of Contact

    • Time: Weekly for 1-4 hours

    • Description: Finding and calling non-profits to become resources for our warriors

    • Skills: Basic computer skills, comfortable with cold calling, preferably someone organized and outgoing

  • Writer – Newsletter

    • Time: Weekly, 1-2 hours

    • Description: Write text for upcoming events, occasions, report on newsworthy events

    • Skills: Excellent writing skills, basic computer skills

  • Writer – “Thank You” Notes

    • Time: Bi-weekly or weekly, 1-4 hours

    • Description: Handwrite “Thank You” notes

    • Skills: Good penmanship

  • Assembly – Various Care Packages

    • Time: A few times or weekly, 2-4 hours

    • Description: Assemble Transplant Families Care Packs and other fun packs.

    • Skills: None

  • Annual Conference -  Donation Procurement

    • Time: When available

    • Description: Calling or visiting local organizations to procure donations for giveaways. Enter event donations, sponsorships, ticket sales, table sales, and guest information into HubSpot prior to the event. Send tax letters prior to the event.

    • Skills: Preferably someone organized and outgoing

  • Annual Conference -  Registration

    • Time: One time, 2-8 hours, and at the event

    • Description: Guest check-in and check-out at the event.  Sound Check for Speakers.  Wayfinder for conference-goers.  

    • Skills: Basic computer, preferably someone with online conference or webinar experience 

  • Annual Fundraiser and/or Golf Tournament (Various Locations) -  Donation Procurement, Auction Preparation, Registration

    • Time: When available

    • Description: Calling or visiting local organizations to procure donations for charity auction/mystery boxes

    • Skills: Preferably someone organized and outgoing

    • Description: Helping prepare giveaways, enter donor/auction item information into HubSpot, and sending out tax letters.

    • Skills: Basic computer, preferably someone with HubSpot experience

    • Enter event donations, sponsorships, ticket sales, table sales, and guest information into HubSpot prior to the event. Send tax letters prior to the event. Guest check-in and check-out at the event.
