Mended Little Hearts
MLH
The premier nationwide resource and peer-to-peer support network for all heart patients and their families affected by heart disease across the lifespan.
The Mended Hearts, Inc. is the world’s largest peer-to-peer cardiovascular patient support network with over 75,000 members in 20 countries. MHI’s mission is “To inspire hope and improve the quality of life of heart patients and their families through ongoing peer-to-peer support, education, and advocacy.” Formed in 1951, the USA 501(c) (3) non-profit is the USA’s second oldest non-profit support organization and has been offering support and encouragement to patients and families for over 71 years. In 2004, MHI recognized a unique need to provide hope and support to “the littlest heart patients of all” and their families, so the Mended Little Hearts program was created.
Mended Little Hearts is a non-profit, volunteer-led program providing hope and support to children, patients, and families affected by congenital heart disease.
Their Mission is to empower families affected by congenital heart disease (CHDs) through peer-to-peer support services, education, connecting families with resources, creating awareness and advocacy.
