National Kidney Foundation of Indiana Kidney Camp
Kidney Camp is a place to let go of it all and enjoy life.
The National Kidney Foundation of Indiana (NKFI) is pleased to host Kidney Camp at YMCA Camp Tecumseh in Brookston, IN from May 31 – June 4, 2024. We are grateful for each and every camper and for all of our camper families for placing their trust in the NKFI to create a fun, safe camp experience for all involved.
The National Kidney Foundation of Indiana’s Kidney Camp is a place to let go of it all and enjoy life. Kidney Camp is a free 5 day, overnight summer camp for Indiana kids ages 8 to 18 living with kidney disease or who have received a transplant. Since attending traditional summer camps may be a challenge or not an option for kids with kidney disease, the NKFI’s Kidney Camp provides an opportunity for kids to experience the fun of traditional summer camp complete with horseback riding, wall climbing, zip-lining, swimming, canoeing, basketball, tennis, fishing, arts and crafts, games, and much more while receiving the unique medical care they need.
Kidney Camp is run by staff from the National Kidney Foundation of Indiana with support from the staff at Camp Tecumseh located in Brookston, Indiana. Adult volunteer camp counselors help supervise cabins and activities.
