Sarah Vargas

Sarah Vargas joined Transplant Families in 2021. Her daughter received two liver transplants before the age of 5. The first transplant was a living related donor when her daughter was only 9 months old, and the second was a deceased donor when she reached the age of 4. Sarah has been a vocal advocate for organ donation. She is currently on the Starz Network for Excellence in Pediatric Transplantation as a patient family voice for the Patient-Center Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI). She also volunteers for the Center for Organ Recovery & Education (CORE), and does speaking engagements for local hospitals to promote organ donation. Sarah’s family has participated in several media campaigns to help promote organ donation. ​
