Hearts for Emma
We provide assistance to families of children with 💜 disease & support educational initiatives relating to 💚 transplantation and organ donation.
Hearts for Emma started to pay forward the kindness and support shown to Emma and her family as they navigated Emma’s heart transplant journey. Our firsthand experiences enable Hearts for Emma to collaborate with hospital partners to provide bedside support for patients, caregivers, and their families. Our educational initiatives are diverse. We never want anyone to be faced with a need for transplantation and not know exactly what is involved (the way our family found ourselves).
Our organization promotes the need for organ and tissue donation in many ways; speaking in high schools to driver’s ed classes, producing “You Have the Power” video and printed materials, recognizing Donate Life Month with a special service, and participating in the annual 5K. Additionally, we provide college scholarships to rising high school seniors who have been touched by and/or are advocates for organ and tissue donation.
