During this informative session, we will focus on the work of the OPTN task force, now named "Expeditious: Organ Usage through Placement Efficiency." Our goal is to discuss and explore ways to enhance organ usage and streamline the processes that drive organ placement, all with the aim of improving transplant outcomes.
We are delighted to introduce the two co-chairs for this task force:
- David Marshman, B.S., CPTC, LifeLink Foundation
- Alden Doyle, M.D., M.P.H., University of Virginia Health Sciences Center
Both David and Alden bring a wealth of experience and expertise in the field of organ donation and transplantation, as well as a strong commitment to quality and system improvement.
During the town hall meeting, our co-chairs will provide an overview of the task force's plan and share their progress to date. You will also have the opportunity to hear from:
- Dianne LaPointe Rudow, ANP-BC, DNP, FAAN, OPTN Board President
- Rich Formica, M.D., OPTN Board Vice-President/President-Elect
- Valinda Jones, M.S.N., RN, OPTN Board Vice President for Patient and Donor Affairs
We encourage you to come prepared with any questions, thoughts, or ideas you may have. Your input is invaluable to us.
If you're unable to attend the live session, don't worry! We will record the town hall and make it available for later viewing. So, mark your calendar and save the date. We look forward to your participation in this vital discussion that aims to benefit our young transplant recipients.
