Fundraiser June 28 for organ transplant group

The public is invited to a fundraiser June 28 to raise money for the Children’s Organ Transplant Association (COTA).

The event is from 9 a.m. -5 p.m. at the recreation center, 1501 Elizabeth Place, Cincinnati, 45237.

It includes local musical artists, performers, food, vendors line dancing, and zumba. It is free to get in. Donations are accepted during the event. The group has a fundraising goal of $10,000.

The event is in honor of a 13-year-old Atlanta boy named Alan who had a liver transplant in 2013. He has many relatives in Cincinnati who want to draw attention to the issue and raise money for COTA, an organization that assists families in transplant-related expenses. They are considering making this an annual event in Cincinnati.
