We asked for pictures of summer fun and you delivered! We are delighted to highlight Norah who is five years old and received her heart when she was three years old, after waiting for over six months in the hospital on a Berlin pump. Her family was told she was the first in the country (maybe even the world) to be on a Berlin pump with a single ventricle heart. This picture shows her running on the beach in Wildwood Crest, New Jersey. Her family feels so very grateful for these moments. This moment was made possible with the help of the heart transplant team at Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital in NYC. Thank you for saving lives and providing unforgettable moments of hope like this to many families waiting for their gift of life, and the donor families who say yes to donation.
