Transplant social worker hearts her job – SFGate – Please take a moment to read through this touching article highlighting the amazing career of transplant social worker Mary Burge. She has seen transplant from its very beginning stages in this country and helped hundreds upon hundreds of patients maneuver all the ups and downs that go with it. I can only imagine how many amazing stories she has been witness to.
This article just made me want to thank our transplant social worker, yet again, for all of her amazing work too. What a blessing it is to be connected in this very unique situation. Be sure to tell your transplant team "Thank you" on occasion too and let them know all the things they do right. They need good things to remember on their bad days.
