CINCINATTI, Ohio (WKRN) – Dylan Trevino fell into a fire pit in his backyard in Spring Hill in December 2009, burning over 66 percent of his body.
Since then, Dylan has battled infections and various health problems, including difficulty eating.
He’s now in need of a triple organ transplant. His mom told News 2 there is no time frame in Dylan getting a small intestine, liver and pancreas, but he’s expected to be moved to the top of the transplant list.
Dylan is also expected to be hospital for recovery for up to a year, and his family is now asking for local blood donations.
He’s had three full blood transfusions in the last two weeks and will continue to require them until the transplant.
