Son of EPD officer receives heart transplant – WAVE 3

EVANSVILLE, IN (WFIE) –
The son of an EPD officer, 7-month-old Luke Chapman, is recovering after receiving a heart transplant.

According to the family’s Facebook page, Luke’s Heart, the transplant took several hours and Luke is now in the intensive care unit at Riley Children’s Hospital.
Chapman was born with a heart defect and has been waiting months for a transplant.
The family’s now praying that Luke’s body accepts his new heart.
They say they’re so incredibly grateful for all of the prayers.
