CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) –
Two-year-old Kenace Hunt is an active and happy little girl, but earlier this year she was at the Cleveland Clinic moments away from a life saving liver transplant.
Shelley tells 19 Action News Reporter Scott Taylor “Just fear, especially when she went into rejection five days out, but our faith kept us going.”
The family has health insurance, but that won’t cover everything. A liver transplant from a live donor is more expensive that from an organ donor.
“I received a bill a couple of weeks ago and we owe $161,000,” says Hunt.
On Sunday come run in the Kare for Kenace 5k race and fundraiser at Warrensville Heights YMCA on Northfield Road. See the flyer for all the details.
You can also make a donation to help Kenace and her family.
